McKay® Hardalloy® 61 EFe5-B 1/8" Dia X 14" Hard Facing Electrode comes in a 10 lb hermetically sealed container and is designed to use for metal-to metal wear and abrasive wear in high temperature service up to 1000 deg F which is same as high speed tool steel deposit. Electrode renders martensitic surfacing alloy deposit and it adheres well without any cracking with very smooth, dense bead deposits. It uses DCEP or AC power for the operations with optimum amperage of 140 A. It can be used out-of-position with minimized amperage level. It can also used to build a series of horizontal beads on a shelf by featuring weave technique. It finds applications in punching dies, shear blades, sliding metal parts and trimming dies.
